a bit about me
Enmanuel Hernandez Suarez is a first-year medical student at FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from FIU in 2022 with a degree in Chemistry, focusing on Biochemistry and Natural and Applied Sciences, along with a minor in Biology. His academic achievements include being inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success and receiving the Honor and Excellence in Civic Engagement Medallion.

Throughout his time at FIU, Enmanuel was actively involved in research under Dr. Stephen Winkle, studying how Cobalt binds to DNA and interacts with RNA polymerase and restriction enzymes. He also served as a Biochemistry Learning Assistant, helping students succeed in the course. Beyond academics, Enmanuel has volunteered in various community roles, such as Secretary for Heart for the Homeless and mentor with Panther2Panther, developing leadership and teamwork skills. Professionally, he's worked in multiple clinical settings, including roles at the University of Miami, Mercy Hospital, and Larkin Community Hospital, where he gained hands-on experience in patient care and clinical operations.
